Having travelled to areas of Europe and North America, I caught the bug to travel to as many destinations as I possibly could. My first job in the travel industry involved organising skiing holidays to Europe, America and Canada. Since then, I've branched out into new destinations across the Middle East and Far East, both of which are home to so many treasures that I love to share with my clients.

How many years have you worked in the travel industry?

30 years.

What's your favourite destination and why?

I love the island of Langkawi in Malaysia. It boasts a really brilliant combination of both lush rainforest and pristine waters, making it a real tropical island gem.

Which destination/s do you specialise in?

The Far East and Middle East.

Why do you love working in travel?

I relish the opportunity to travel to so many different destinations, which is one of the perks of my job. I also really value being able sell top-quality products to our discerning clients.

What's your best childhood holiday memory?

Probably going on my first rollercoaster ride while on holiday in the South of France.

What was your best ever trip?

I visited Australia for 12 days, spending five days in the Northern Territory and then seven days on Hamilton Island. It was a great mix of the vast landscapes of the Outback as well as a truly stunning tropical island paradise.

Where would you describe as a secret gem?

The island of Corsica in the Mediterranean. It features a really charming mixture of French and Italian influences and is a very unique place with its glistening coastlines and rugged mountains. It's a place that's still very much untouched by tourism.

What was your most awe-inspiring moment?

Skiing in Aspen, Colorado. Not only were the slopes some of the best I've skied on, but the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains was truly spectacular.

What's the one item you always take with you?

A book.

Try to venture to local areas to experience different cuisines from what you might find in your hotel and for a more immersive, authentic experience with the local culture.

Biggest blunder abroad

Wearing flipflops in the outback - there were snakes everywhere!
